From medicine in Romania to data science at the University of Michigan — a non-linear path driven by curiosity and conviction.
Originally from Albania, I bring a perspective shaped by international experience and a willingness to take unconventional paths. After studying medicine in Romania, I realized my true fascination lay in how data and algorithms can decode complex systems — particularly financial markets.
I pivoted to computer science in the United States, where I built a strong foundation in software engineering, mathematics, and statistical analysis. I've maintained a 3.96 GPA while working part-time and building real projects that apply technical skills to financial problems.
Now pursuing Data Science at the University of Michigan, I'm focused on quantitative finance, statistical modeling, and market microstructure. My long-term goal is quantitative trading, where mathematical rigor meets real-world market dynamics.
